Find answers to common questions about Alternator, including product selection, specifications, installation, and maintenance.
A higher Output current value alone does not establish a suitable upgrade. For example, XTLALT9301 is rated at 24V/120A and XTLALT9313 at 24V/150A. Both list Plug PL_9105 and a 10-groove pulley, but their OE references and dimensions differ. Confirm the original alternator reference, regulator compatibility, mounting dimensions and vehicle charging-system requirements before approving the change.
Compare the connector, pulley and mounting configuration before treating them as alternatives. XTLALT9301 and XTLALT8272 both list 24V/120A, but the former uses Plug PL_9105 with a 10-groove, 54 mm pulley, while the latter uses PL_5003 with a 6-groove, 64 mm pulley. Their Overall Length values also differ. Keep them as separate purchase items unless interchangeability has been confirmed.
Use the Plug code to narrow the selection, then confirm the connector drawing, pin assignments and regulator control requirements. For example, XTLALT9313 lists PL_9105, but the displayed code does not provide a complete pinout or control specification. Include the original alternator number and connector details when requesting technical confirmation.
Confirm each reference’s belt-drive requirements before consolidating pulley configurations. For example, XTLALT9263 and XTLALT8259 both list 24V/55A, Plug PL_9105 and eight pulley grooves, but their pulley diameters are 81 mm and 56 mm respectively. Matching groove counts do not establish the same drive ratio or belt alignment. Check pulley diameter, profile, offset and type against the original assembly.
Define the required supply configuration explicitly. For example, XTLALT8255 lists Pulley as “n/a” without a pulley diameter or groove count. Confirm whether the quoted unit includes a pulley or requires one to be transferred or sourced separately. If you require a pulley fitted, include its specifications in the enquiry and have that configuration recorded in the quotation.
